Football Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Falls to Roanoke Catholic in First Game of Season

Isle of Wight Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Roanoke Catholic Celtics and fell 49-0. The Chargers lost against the Celtics in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-26 score last time.

Coming up, Isle of Wight Academy is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roanoke Catholic, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Atlantic Shores Christian at 7:00 p.m.
