The Whitehall Zephyrs will face off against the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitehall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.

Whitehall's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against William Allen as they made off with a 19-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Zephyrs in their matchups with the Canaries: they've now won eight in a row.

Molly McFetridge and Amya Espinal did most of the damage at the plate: McFetridge went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Espinal went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that McFetridge launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryanna Donlon, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Whitehall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as William Allen only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain East waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Rovers. While the Cardinals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Pocono Mountain East's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Whitehall, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Whitehall took their victory against Pocono Mountain East in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Zephyrs repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
