Softball Recap: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. Belleview Rattlers
Lake Weir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleview Rattlers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lake Weir of the 19-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Even though they lost, Lake Weir didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with eight strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Belleview only tossed four.
On Belleview's side, Natayvia Salmon looked comfortable as she tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

As for Belleview, they will head out on the road to take on The Villages Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Villages Charter is coming into the game with four straight victories at home, so Belleview will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
