Pleasant Grove has gone a perfect 4-0 against Farmington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Vikings will host the Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pleasant Grove comes in on seven and Farmington on three.
Pleasant Grove will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Skyridge, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 62-51 on Tuesday. Give the Vikings' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Pleasant Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sutton Villa, who posted 20 points along with six rebounds and six blocks. With that strong performance, Villa is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Tabi Clark, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.
Pleasant Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
While Farmington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Bonneville with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 52-37. The Phoenix pushed the score to 46-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lakers cut but never quite recovered from.
Farmington's win came from a few key players Pleasant Grove will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Olive Wayland, who put up 14 points and three steals. Makelle Weber was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on her way to 12 points and six rebounds.
Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Farmington, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pleasant Grove has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
