The Coastal Academy Stingrays will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop's Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coastal Academy will be strutting in after a win while Bishop's will be coming in after a loss.
On Wednesday, Coastal Academy made easy work of Foothills Christian and carried off a 16-4 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Stingrays' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Therese Frazer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Frazer was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Aubrey Price was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Gabriella Castillo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Coastal Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothills Christian only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 26 runs the game before, Bishop's was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Escondido Charter. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.
Coastal Academy pushed their record up to 10-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Bishop's, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
Coastal Academy got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Bishop's by a conclusive 17-11 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stingrays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
