Baseball Recap: Chesnee Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Chesnee had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Liberty Red Devils. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Chesnee's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesnee will venture away from home to challenge Greenville Tech Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out to face off against Pendleton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
