Volleyball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

Ripon was the 2-0 winner over Iola-Scandinavia when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Emma Resop paced Ripon's offense, picking up seven kills. Resop got some help from Adele Minor and her nine assists. Minor was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Iola-Scandinavia, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9.

Ripon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Clintonville on the 20th. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Wabeno/Laona on the 20th.
