Carlisle scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 33-28 to the Brook Hill Guard. The Indians lost against the Guard in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-20 score last time.

Carlisle's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antonio Ibarra, who threw for 215 yards and one TD on only 18 passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another rusher making a difference was Elvis Hernandez, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Brook Hill, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will head out to challenge Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Brook Hill, they will venture away from home to square off against Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Guard's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
