North DeSoto extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They breezed past the Booker T. Washington-Shreveport Lions to the tune of 44-16. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Griffins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Lions are ranked 195th).

It was another big night for Braelyn Latin, who rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those 171 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerry Hunter, who rushed for 39 yards and a pair of TDs.

As for Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, their record is now 3-2. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with North DeSoto: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, Booker T. Washington-Shreveport still got an impressive performance from Vincent Blake, who rushed for 87 yards and one score, and also threw for 154 yards and one touchdown.

North DeSoto didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-13 victory against Minden on the 10th. As for Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-8 defeat against Northwood on the 9th.
