Recap: Christ the King Crusaders vs. Community School of Davidson Spartans
The Christ the King Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Community School of Davidson by a score of 81-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christ the King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marco Tampoya, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Tampoya is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Ryan, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds.
Community School of Davidson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Moran, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Dermot Lowry, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Christ the King's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Community School of Davidson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
Christ the King will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Greater Cabarrus S at 7:00 p.m. Christ the King is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. As for Community School of Davidson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Langtree Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Langtree Charter is coming into the matchup with nine straight losses on the road, meaning Community School of Davidson will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
