Bowie and Austin are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Bowie Bears will head out to challenge the Austin Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bowie's offense. They fell just short of Harmony Science Academy by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Austin also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Ysleta on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Bowie, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Bowie was able to grind out a solid win over Austin in their previous matchup back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bowie since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
