Basketball Game Preview: Norrix Knights vs. St. Joseph Bears

Norrix hasn't had much luck against St. Joseph recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Norrix Knights will look to defend their home court against the St. Joseph Bears at 7:00 p.m. Norrix knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully St. Joseph likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Norrix against Paw Paw as the squad secured a 69-42 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Red Wolves are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, St. Joseph came up short against Portage Central on Friday and fell 54-45. The Bears have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Norrix is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for St. Joseph, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything went Norrix's way against St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Norrix made off with a 75-51 win. Will Norrix repeat their success, or does St. Joseph have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
