Preview: Mancos Bluejays vs. Dolores Bears

Mancos is 9-1 against Dolores since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mancos Bluejays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dolores Bears at 4:30 p.m. Mancos will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.

Mancos can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 76-40 win over Sargent at home. That looming 76-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mancos yet this season.

Mancos had a senior duo take command as Andrew Jaime scored 22 points and Brian Veach scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jaime has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Wyatt, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Dolores' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-47 bruising from Nucla. Dolores has not had much luck with Nucla recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Mancos' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Dolores, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Mancos was able to grind out a solid win over Dolores when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 51-43. Will Mancos repeat their success, or does Dolores have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
