Recap: Mercer County Titans vs. Green County Dragons
On Saturday, Mercer County beat the Dragons 57-49.
Mercer County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ak Drakeford, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Drakeford is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Skylar Webb, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Mercer County's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Green County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercer County will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Burgin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Titans are ranked 85th). As for Green County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
