Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). They breezed past the Mitchell Tigers to the tune of 48-7 on Friday. Given the Red Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Tigers are ranked 82nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alek Doty threw for 131 yards and two TDs on only six passes. Keian Kaiser was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground, Rhys Dorcey rushed for 152 yards and three scores on only 15 carries.

The win keeps Sidney at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.5 points on average this season. As for Mitchell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Sidney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-6 win against Gothenburg on the 26th. As for Mitchell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-6 victory against Gordon-Rushville on the 26th.
