Acalanes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. That's more bragging rights for the Dons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Acalanes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Winkles, who threw for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards and one TD. The Dons also got a significant boost from Josh Elerts, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 140 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Acalanes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clayton Valley Charter only rushed for 86.

Acalanes' record is now 9-0. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Acalanes will venture away from home to take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they will head out to square off against De La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Ugly Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
