Baseball Recap: Cobre Falls Short of Sandia Prep in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cobre can now relate to. They came up short against the Sandia Prep Sundevils on Saturday, falling 21-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Indians' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Cobre saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Alvarado, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Cobre dropped their record down to 16-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Sandia Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Cobre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandia Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against New Mexico Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sundevils will need to watch out since the Colts have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
