Baseball Recap: Elida Has No Trouble Against Floyd

Elida won the last time they faced Floyd and things went their way on Friday too. Elida blew past Floyd 18-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Bodey Fraze was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Radlee Ferguson, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Mochel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Elida's record is now 2-0. As for Floyd, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
