Basketball Recap: Winters Comes Up Short

Winters was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Ballinger Bearcats and fell 71-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blizzards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-40 back in December of 2024.

Winters' defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Ballinger, they pushed their record up to 14-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Winters will welcome Miles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Winters surely won't give up without a fight. Ballinger has already played their next match (against Roscoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
