Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family takes loss despite strong efforts from Claire Korth and Abilyn Schneider

Recap: Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family vs. Howells-Dodge Jaguars

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-34 to Howells-Dodge. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family lost against Howells-Dodge in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-55 score last time.

Despite the defeat, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family had strong showings from Abilyn Schneider, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds, and Claire Korth, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Korth scored a full 26.5% of Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Leading Howells-Dodge to victory were Peyten Becker and Jordyn Ratzlaff. Becker scored ten points along with five rebounds, while Ratzlaff scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jade Bayer, who scored 11 points.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Howells-Dodge, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will be playing at home against Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pender's defense has only allowed 28.4 points per game this season, so Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's offense will have their work cut out for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family. Howells-Dodge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oakland-Craig at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Oakland-Craig focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
