Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Mullen Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Commanders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Thanh Le paced Kennedy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Le got some help from Ken Le and his 22 assists. Thanh also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Anthony Nguyen, racking up two apiece.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mullen, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.

Kennedy has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Arrupe Jesuit on the 11th. As for Mullen, they will square off against George Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
