Ashley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the New Hanover Wildcats a 9-0 shutout. Give Ashley's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Ashley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those five matchups. As for New Hanover, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ashley is set to take on their familiar foe Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Ashley 0.3, Hoggard 0.4) so any goals scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, New Hanover will challenge rival Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
