Recap: Mansfield Christian Flames vs. Loudonville Redbirds
The Mansfield Christian Flames won the last time they faced the Loudonville Redbirds, and things went their way on Friday too. Mansfield Christian took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-45 victory over Loudonville. Given Mansfield Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Loudonville is ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mansfield Christian can attribute much of their success to Amarr Davis, who scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dre Martin, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Mansfield Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Loudonville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Mansfield Christian will head out on the road to face off against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loudonville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairless at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairless comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
