Football Recap: Blum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Covington last Friday, Blum came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell 70-58 to the Avalon Eagles on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (52), the Bobcats still had to take the loss.

Blum has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Avalon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Blum will square off against Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Avalon, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Covington at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will be up against the Owls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
