Softball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Pierce Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Caydence Dial was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pierce, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Anderson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shasta at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Pierce, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-5 victory against Plumas Charter on the 7th.
