The Northeastern Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Eastern Hancock Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Northeastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Northeastern will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Pike on Saturday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Red Devils. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Northeastern let Logan White and Jarrett Leitner run wild. White went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Leitner got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. White has become a key player for Northeastern: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Seal, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Northeastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pike only posted a batting average of .125.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 10-4 to Frankton.
Hayden Rouse made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jalen Helderbrand, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Eastern Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Northeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Eastern Hancock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northeastern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Eastern Hancock, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain Northeastern's hitters?
Northeastern was able to grind out a solid win over Eastern Hancock in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 9-5. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
