Basketball Recap: Perry County Vikings vs. Waverly Central Tigers
Perry County came into Monday's matchup having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They rang in the new year with a 70-57 win over the Waverly Central Tigers on Monday. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenner Haston, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds.
