Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gorham's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Gorham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Dubail, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Gorham's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Cheverus, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gorham will face off against rival Noble at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cheverus is set to square off against their familiar foe South Portland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
