Softball Recap: Reavis Comes Up Short

If Reavis was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Hillcrest last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 13-4 to the Evergreen Park Mustangs on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kenzie Welsh was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Lily Fish was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Reavis has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Evergreen Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Reavis will venture away from home to challenge Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Argonauts will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evergreen Park, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. The Mustangs are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
