Football Game Preview: Vigor Wolves vs. Moody Blue Devils + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Sammy Dunn and Jake Lowery are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Vigor Wolves will take on the Moody Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vigor comes in on four and Moody on eight.

Vigor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Williamson.

Vigor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demetris Johnson led the charge by rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown. Johnson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. Dylan Jackson also helped out as he racked up 106 receiving yards.

Vigor's defense stepped up as well, laying out Alvin Dinkins three times. In that department, Jabarrius Garror was the leader with two sacks. He has become a key player for Vigor: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one sack, but 1-2 otherwise. The Wolves got some further help from Terrance Battiste: he made nine total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Moody got the win against Scottsboro on Friday by a conclusive 35-10. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Moody's win came from a few key players Vigor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Le'Kamren Meadows, who rushed for 118 yards on only 11 carries. Kevin James was in the mix as well, providing Moody with two TDs.

Moody was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Vigor's record is now 12-2. As for Moody, their record now sits at an identical 12-2.

Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Vigor has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 159.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Moody struggles in that department as they've been averaging 180.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
