Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grass Lake). They put the hurt on the Vandercook Lake Jayhawks with a sharp 17-1 victory on Monday. Considering the Warriors have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Grass Lake's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vandercook Lake, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grass Lake will square off against Gabriel Richard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vandercook Lake, they will head out to take on Leslie at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
