Softball Recap: Crestline Bulldogs vs. South Central Trojans

Crestline kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. Their tough 27-6 defeat to the South Central Trojans might stick with them for a while.

For South Central's part, Chloe Prater was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Prater was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs.

In other batting news, South Central got a massive performance out of Ella Sanders, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with a home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Zaida Myers, who scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

The win for South Central keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Crestline will head out on the road to challenge Lucas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Central, they will play host again on Saturday to welcome Calvert, where first pitch is scheduled at 12:00 p.m. South Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 12.7 runs per game this season.
