Conifer entered their tilt with Evergreen on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Lobos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Conifer had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-11, 25-20.

Conifer can attribute much of their success to Hayden Buscher, who hit 100% for six kills and 15 digs and two blocks. That's the most digs Buscher has posted since back in October of 2024.

Conifer's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Evergreen, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Conifer has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Denver East on the 24th. As for Evergreen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Lakewood on the 25th.
