Volleyball Recap: Sultana Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sultana waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lancaster Eagles 3-0.

Sultana not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lancaster between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Brea Whittemore paced Sultana's offense, picking up 19 kills. Whittemore got some help from Leila Pele and her 28 assists. Finally, Whittemore was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Sultana's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lancaster, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Sultana will venture away from home to square off against Granite Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will challenge Santa Clarita Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
