Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Erie

Legacy is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will host the Erie Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Legacy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Legacy got the win against Poudre by a conclusive 4-1. Anaya Bursey was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Erie hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lewis-Palmer, sneaking past 2-1. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Lewis-Palmer are ranked 67th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Legacy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five contests. As for Erie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-0-2 record this season.
