Baseball Recap: Chadwick Comes Up Short

Chadwick had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 10-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Flintridge Prep Wolves, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-4 defeat on Tuesday.

As for Flintridge Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Flintridge Prep's part, they got a massive performance out of Nicholas Aparicio, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Aparicio a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Sanok, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Coming up, Chadwick will be playing in front of their home fans against Polytechnic at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Flintridge Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against Monrovia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
