North Medford dropped their record down to 23-7 on Saturday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherwood Bowmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bowmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in May.

As for Sherwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

For Sherwood's part, Maisy Schindler was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Schindler a new career-high. Hollie Maughan also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
