Baseball Game Preview: Malden Golden Tornados vs. East Boston Jets

The Malden Golden Tornados will take on the East Boston Jets at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Malden is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Malden will bounce into Friday's match after beating Revere, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Golden Tornados skirted past the Patriots 4-3. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Golden Tornados have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, East Boston scored first but ultimately less than South Boston in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 9-7.

Malden pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for East Boston, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Malden beat East Boston 13-9 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Golden Tornados repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
