Baseball Recap: Pyramid Lake Takes a Loss

Wells hit Pyramid Lake with a 13-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers came up short against the Leopards, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Saturday.

Pyramid Lake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Floyd Shaw was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Pyramid Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wells, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Coming up, Pyramid Lake will be playing at home against Coleville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wells, they will challenge Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.57 runs per game on average), something Wells will no doubt try to take advantage of.
