Volleyball Recap: Lumen Christi Comes Up Short

Lumen Christi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sand Point Eagles/Lady Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles/Lady Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Friday.

Lumen Christi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sand Point, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Lumen Christi will venture away from home to take on Susitna Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Archangels their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Sand Point, they will take on Ninilchik in a tournament on Friday.
