Baseball Recap: Christ School Takes a Loss

Christ School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-5 to the Hickory Grove Christian Lions.

Christ School saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Tutera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Jonathan Reece, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Christ School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hickory Grove Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ School will head out to face off against East Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Christ School has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they will take on Gaston Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
