Soccer Game Preview: Temple vs. Bryan

The Temple Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Bryan Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Temple, who comes in off a win.

Temple will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Killeen on Friday. Temple put the hurt on Killeen with a sharp 6-3 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Bryan was not quite Shoemaker's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolves.

Temple's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 4-5-3. As for Bryan, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Temple skirted past Bryan 2-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Temple since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
