Softball Recap: Columbus Beats Monroe Campus for Their Third Straight Win

Columbus won the last time they faced Monroe Campus and things went their way on Friday too. The Sharks put the hurt on Monroe Campus with a sharp 11-1 victory. Fans of the Sharks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The win (which was Columbus' third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average this season. As for Monroe Campus, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will challenge Explorations Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monroe Campus, they will take on Walton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe Campus will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
