Volleyball Recap: Rock Point's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Rock Point had lost five straight headed into Wednesday's contest, but Ariel Begay didn't let it get to six. The Cougars came out on top against the Pinon Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Begay, who had 12 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Rock Point picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Pinon, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Rock Point and Pinon will both be playing Many Farms the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Lobos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
