Baseball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Takes a Loss

If Cimarron-Memorial was riding high fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Sports Leadership & Management on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans wound up with the same score they had in their last game (16-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Alex Galindo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Cimarron-Memorial's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 5-17 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cayden Cavallone, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cimarron-Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Eldorado, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Coming up, Cimarron-Memorial will be playing at home against Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. Eldorado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
