Soccer Game Preview: Eastside Catholic vs. Bishop Blanchet

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders will head out to challenge the Bishop Blanchet Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

While Eastside Catholic's victory against Franklin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders never let the Quakers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. Eastside Catholic haven't had any issues with Franklin recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ballard, sneaking past 3-2. Given Bishop Blanchet's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Ballard are ranked 42nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Blanchet has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-0-2 record this season. As for Eastside Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-1-2.
