Softball Recap: Casa Grande Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Casa Grande couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salinas Cowboys on Tuesday. The Gauchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casa Grande saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Gallagher, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Casa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7-1. As for Salinas, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Casa Grande nor Salinas have any future games scheduled.
