Football Recap: Chattanooga Prep Comes Up Short on the Road Against Meigs County

Chattanooga Prep kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meigs County Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Tigers are ranked 111th).

Taevon Boykin threw for 37 yards on six of 15 attempts. On the ground, Marquis Gardner rushed for 29 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattanooga Prep will take on Boyd-Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meigs County, they will square off against East Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
