Volleyball Recap: Freedom Patriots vs. Innovation Bulls
Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Innovation Bulls.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Innovation scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.
Innovation got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Leilani Conforme out in front who had seven digs and 15 assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Conforme now posted 14 or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rivera, who had nine digs and three aces.
Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Innovation, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Freedom is on the road again on Tuesday to play Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. As for Innovation, they will take on Timber Creek at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.
