Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Evans Trojans

Trinity Prep is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Legacy Charter: they outscored them in every quarter. The Saints put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 44-24 victory on Wednesday. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Trinity Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jillian Hennebery, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Lena Chan, who scored 11 points.

Meanwhile, Evans played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 60-25 loss at the hands of Oak Ridge. The Trojans have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity Prep and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 46 points in those games. As for Evans, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
